Our prime consideration is to maintain a friendly atmosphere and ensure our junior, associate and senior members are encouraged to participate in all aspects of this pony club and have the opportunities to gain the knowledge and skills to enjoy their love of horses.
THE OBJECTS OF PONY CLUB
ORGANISATION
In Australia, the National Body for Pony Clubs in Australia is Pony Club Australia (PCA). It deals with organisational matters and government at a National level. States and Territories are members of PCA, there are no ‘human’ members. The State Body for Affiliated Pony Clubs in Queensland is the Pony Club Association of Queensland (PCAQ) which was formed in 1959 and later became incorporated. It represents QLD pony clubs on a number of boards and committees. Affiliated Pony Clubs are the members of PCAQ. The State is divided into ten Regions and twenty-five Zones. Calliope Hack and Pony Club is included in the Capricornia Region which consists of Zone 27 and Zone 9. Calliope Hack and Pony Club is attached to Zone 9 that is made up of of nine clubs; Baralaba, Bauhinia, Callide Valley, Calliope, Goovigen, Monto, Moura, Theodore and Wowan.
